About Alison Judah

I have been in practice as an Osteopath for over fifteen years, treating a wide range of health problems for all ages, from new born babies to older people.

I provide gentle osteopathic treatment, seek the root cause of each individual’s problems and aim to balance the whole body.  As well as treating the spine I may work on joints of the limbs,  muscles and connective tissue, or organs such as the stomach or the lungs depending on what is required to sort out your problems. 

If you are nervous of manipulation don`t worry there are many other techniques I can use.   I rarely use high velocity manipulation (when you hear a click) as I find other techniques more beneficial and less strain on the body, so if you don`t like the high velocity type of manipulation then my practice would be ideal for you.

No one is too young or old as I modify the treatment to suit each individual; I am often  called to treat babies only a few days old or people in their 90`s. 

I also carry out postural check - ups so you don`t have to have a specific problem or be in pain to attend my practice.

Qualifications

I have a Diploma and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Osteopathy and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy; I have also trained in cranial osteopathy having undertaken extensive post graduate training with different institutions including the Suttherland College and the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy, London  where I studied for my post - graduate paediatric diploma. I am also continually updating my knowledge and skills at seminars and workshops.

Career Background

My career has involved working with the leading paediatric osteopaths at the Foundation for Paediatric Osteopathy in London, running a private osteopathic practice, working as an osteopath in local GP practices,  lecturing on undergraduate courses and supervising students in Osteopathic School Clinics. I have also worked as an examiner for osteopathic colleges, assessing undergraduate students for their professional competence and teaching surface anatomy to undergraduate acupunture students.
